International architecture practice Plus Architecture has announced a slew of promotions and appointments across their studios in Australia.
Of the 12 appointments, three are new hires, whilst the rest are internal promotions – recognising and retaining the exceptional talent within the organisation while creating new opportunities to nurture the next generation of design innovators.
“Promoting internally not only recognises the incredible work our designers are doing, reinforcing their abilities and building their confidence but in turn encourages them to support and mentor the wider team. The next generation of designers, we’re excited to be creating new avenues for collaboration and innovation in the built environment,” Plus Architecture director Ian Briggs says.
With studios across Australia and New Zealand, the latest round of promotions and appointments bolsters Plus Architecture’s position as industry-leading experts in master planning and city making, multi-residential, commercial and mixed-use developments, as the practice looks to develop its work in the transport, infrastructure, health and wellness sectors across the Asia-Pacific.
Sydney
In Sydney, Mark Ojascastro has been appointed to principal and is tasked with growing and leading the studio’s interiors offering. His remarkable career spans Australia and Canada, garnering national and state awards in both countries.
Promoted to associate in Sydney are Gloria Ha, Sun-Kyoo Kim, and Hong-Thanh Nguyen. While Gloria will helm projects in the residential student accommodation sector, Sun-Kyoo will continue to develop his expertise in the community and civic sectors, and Hong-Thanh will develop her project design and management expertise across sectors spanning boutique residential projects and master-planning mixed-use precincts.
