Georgina Wilson Associates has paid tribute to their long-time employee Jade Young, who was named as one of the victims of the Bondi Junction Westfield attack on Saturday.

Completing a Bachelor of Architecture at the University of New South Wales in 2001, first took her fledgling talents to Michael Bremner & Associates, before moving to London in 2004, joining the likes of Jestico + Whiles and Huw Owen Architects.

She returned to work as an architect in Sydney in 2012 as part of the Georgina Wilson Associates team, where she remained until her death. In a post on Instagram, Wilson details how Young was a pivotal member of her small team.

“I can’t even believe I am writing this, it doesn’t feel real. Jade was part of our GWA team for over 12 years. She was family. Anyone who knew Jade knew what a beautiful, kind and warm soul she was. We are completely devastated. All our love goes out to her family. We love you Jade.”

A mother of two, Young was also a member of the Bronte Surf Life Saving Club. The Club cancelled a scheduled event once it was confirmed Young was killed in the attack staged by killer Joel Cauchi.

"It is with profound sadness that we share the loss of member Jade Young," an email that was sent by the Club reads.

"On behalf of Bronte Surf Lifesaving Club, we extend our deepest condolences to the McLaughlin family.

"Many club members will be affected by the loss of Jade and the impact of this senseless and tragic event will affect each of us differently over time."

Young was the third victim named out of six following the tragic incident on Sunday afternoon. There is a GoFundMe fundraising page raising funds for Young’s family. It can be found here.
