Alspec door and window systems meet accessibility and compliance brief at early learning centre
Being a childcare centre, the biggest focus was on ensuring accessibility and compliance with regulations.
Nambour Christian College Early Learning Centre, on the Sunshine Coast, is dedicated to providing a wide range of facilities and opportunities.
Popping with colour, texture and natural light, the centre is truly a great space for education and fun.
When Architectural Glass Solutions (AGS) was asked to advise on the perfect window and door solutions, they were more than aware that safety – as well as light-flooded interiors and ventilation – were the keys to a happy client and thriving kiddies.
Being a childcare centre, the biggest focus was on ensuring accessibility and compliance with regulations.
The solution was the use of Alspec’s range of Proglide doors, which utilise a flush threshold for PWD access if required. Meanwhile, Airflo frames allowed for the use of automated Breezeway louvres.
Fixed singular glazed panels using McArthur Evo 101.6mm centre pocket framing were installed while Derwent 76mm centre pocket framing was used for the internal fixed framing. The same McArthur Evo 101.6mm system was also employed for four raked panel windows with silicone butt joints.
Hinged French doors using McArthur Evo 101.6mm framing were also installed.
Finally, the cherry on top was the use of stunning Duratec Zeus powdercoat colour across all the framing.
