Large span Ecotek roof panels ensure speedy installation at Mark Taylor Oval
Arcpanel’s Ecotek panel was specified and installed for this state-of-the-art indoor cricket centre to provide an all-weather training and specialist coaching facility.
Caps off to Turner Hughes Architects for the design of the new $3.5 million indoor cricket centre at Mark Taylor Oval.
Arcpanel’s Ecotek panel was specified and installed for this state-of-the-art indoor cricket centre to provide an all-weather training and specialist coaching facility. It’s the first of its kind in the region and will be used by men and women’s cricket teams including all abilities programs, providing opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in sport.
Mark Taylor was present for the grand opening of the cricket centre named in his honour on the first day of February 2023. Mark played 104 cricket tests and 113 one day internationals for Australia, leading the team as captain in 50 tests and 67 one day internationals. In 1999, he was named Australian of the Year and in 2003 he was inducted into the Australian Sporting Hall of Fame.
Arcpanel’s Ecotek is a cyclone rated structural insulated panel featuring a modern trapezoidal topside with high thermal efficiency ratings up to R6.1. The large spanning capability of the Ecotek panel allows for reduction of steel structure and provides fast and efficient installation, ensuring the completion date was met on time, ready for the grand opening of this impressive community facility.
