The award-winning Westpac Place is the head office of Westpac Banking Corporation. Occupying an entire block, the building offers 360-degree views and features state-of-the-art technology including advanced ESD principles to minimise environmental impact and reduce energy costs.

Originally designed by Johnson Pilton Walker and completed in 2009, the base building went through a comprehensive refurbishment in 2019. The refurbishment designed by Geyer and Studio* Collaborative aimed to bring the interior in line with the Barangaroo Place Westpac fitout, creating a homogenous Westpac identity throughout both buildings

For a building height of only 166 metres, the ICON X raised floor system from ASP Access Floors was the perfect solution to provide a low height access floor at 150mm finished floor height. The access floor system provided housing for electrical, data and communication services, along with ease of maintenance and flexibility to adjust for future refurbishments.

The project utilised over 72,000 square metres of ASP’s commercial ICON X access floor system, in addition to ICON Data HPL in the commercial tower’s communications rooms.

Considered the classic system for commercial environments, ICON X features the patented ASP ICON panel with a steel cementitious construction.

ICON Data HPL is a finished system providing static dissipative access floor panels.
