Three operable walls were supplied by Unifold Holdings to the Rydges South Bank hotel’s function venue to maximise the use of space to cater to multiple events.

One of the most popular function venues in Brisbane, Rydges South Bank offers a number of ways to host every type and size of event. From executive boardroom meetings to conferences, trade shows, conventions and gala events, the venue can welcome up to 1,000 guests. The facilities also cater to groups of any size from 14 people in the executive boardroom to 600 people in the grand podium rooms.

Rydges South Bank operable walls

With each panel weighing 250kg, a crane was required to deliver the three operable walls to the podium level. Panel heights at 3.5 metres also required mobile scaffolding to complete the installation.

Rydges and Base Architecture were specific about what they sought in their operable walls and slider in terms of aesthetics and function. Unifold was able to successfully deliver on both expectations.
