Polyfoam has set up a new production facility in Westbury, Tasmania that will focus on the recycling and circularity of seafood boxes.

According to Expanded Polystyrene Australia (EPSA), the new facility is a ground-breaking achievement by Polyfoam, and marks a significant milestone in the expansion of sustainable manufacturing and recycling capabilities within the EPS industry.

“This state-of-the-art facility, inaugurated by Premier Jeremy Rockliff, represents not just an advancement in Polyfoam's capacity to double the production of salmon boxes – a crucial component in supporting Tasmania's vital salmon aquaculture sector – but also underscores the collective commitment to recycling and environmental stewardship,” EPSA stated.
